MusicUnderFire was started by two brothers from Philadelphia, PA, writing about the music we love and feel people must know about. We began in January of 2007 writing mainly music reviews on our original website and began dabbling in writing a few news stories of bands we loved. Our site eventually moved to blog format in December 2007 for ease of use so that more music could be written about rather than spending time updating a full website in our freetime.
MusicUnderFire looks critically at the latest indie rock our there today. We love nothing more than finding a fresh indie group to rant about and fancy UK rock to fall back on. It would be a bit of a farce if we called ourselves MusicUnderFire and didn't burn groups, but we will aim to keep our criticism constructive without being too cynical.
Our goal is to spread the music we love. Its that simple. We do not saturate our blog with groups we do not care about, and would rather post less than more in an attempt to sidestep the amount of overkill other music sites may offer. Our site is not about making money from you, the visitor, but we hope that if you find something you like, you support the artist and give us some measly credit by clicking on our links.
Most of all, thank you for visiting and we would love to hear from you!
