Circuits Carry Electric Energy

Circuits

Although these guys don’t have a million friends on myspace, facebook or any other site, Circuits certainly do get around (in a good way).

The amicable foursome from the UK joined forces back in 2006 and haven’t looked back. In fact, they have already released more than five singles and an EP in that short span. With a sound they say,

combine[s] the edginess of New Wave with echoes of Elvis Costello, fond looks over their shoulders to The Specials and the in-your-face power of the The Clash. Think The Police if Sting had been a fighter not a tantric lover.

I personally see a lot of Art Brut in their sound, but see for yourself.

Circuits are on the move. With the release of their debut full-length album, Bright As Midnight, they are currently in the midst of a 10-day tour of Japan, where it released March 5. We’ll keep an eye on them to see when UK buyers and North American fans can get a piece of this.

Check out this video of them recording Bright As Midnight.
