Sera Cahoone New Album, 100th POST!!!

Sera Cahoone

Not that we needed another reason to hype up our 100th post any more, but besides today being the bday of one of our writers, we would also like some hype to be pushed towards the release of Sera Cahoone’s album, Only As the Day is Long, which will hit stores March 18.

Exciting, I know.

Cahoone, best known for her involvement on the drums for Band of Horses’ Everything All the Time (’06) and possibly for her time with the now defunct Carissa’s Weird, dropped the drum sticks to pick up and fine tune her skills with the guitar. Not only has she taken back the guitar, but her sweet singing is now in the forefront of her almost country-based style, which features a certain twang and relaxed feel that isn’t as country as it is campfire bluegrass.

Perhaps this isn’t even a good explanation so check out her myspace, and if you enjoy this like I did, preorder her new album here through Sub-Pop Records (same label as BoH).
