For all of those like us, the release of Death Cab For Cutie’s video for “I Will Possess Your Heart” off of the Narrow Stairs album, which is set to release next month, only did so much in answering questions about where the group is heading. MUF did a quick review of their single last month- check it out here.

This 8:30 video didn’t strike me as anything beyond what DCFC put forth in their previous works. In this video we see a girl traveling the whole world- sound familiar? If not then perhaps you need a refresher of the music notes traveling the globe from “Soul Meets Body.” As any DCFC fan knows, the EPs, singles and the albums can come across as quite different from each other, so why should this song reflect the whole album.

If you haven’t done so yet, go out and pick up their Directions DVD, which featured their Plans album but with outside professionals doing the videos. Perhaps what DCFC has in store again with Narrow Stairs. Without any delay, here is the video …
