Heat things up with The Hot Melts

The Hot Melts

Just recently signed by Wonderland Records (Epitaph’s new UK label), The Hot Melts might make one reminisce about The Enchantment Under The Sea dance from Back to the Future.

Sure, the four guys from Liverpool don’t speak with an Otis Redding accent or break suddenly into a “Johnny B. Goode” escapade on all their tracks, but they could any time they wish. With frontman Will Baylis’ flexible vocals leading the way, it shouldn’t be any bit of a stretch of the mind to see why their stock is on the rise.

Joined by Jonny Green (guitar), Jamie Otsa (bass) and Jack Prince (drums), The Hot Melts claim influenced from Pulp, Weezer, Blur, The Chiffons, The Smoking Popes and Grandaddy to name a few. This mix between U.S. pop and U.K. rock in their music certainly caught the ears of Epitaph and is one of the solid reasons why the group has sold out many of their U.K. shows already.

The Hot Melts just finished recording their debut album, which is slated to release in the Fall with a single scheduled to be out this Summer. Check out these clips we got and the tour dates for those in the U.K.
