You could just consider MGMT a bit out of the ordinary. What Jorge Elbrecht did to their “Time to Pretend” hit is something you might correlate closely to a late 80s sci-fi movie and the moment you were introduced to hardcore.

I can’t say I am a fan of either of those. Not that I am against remixes, but Elbrecht didn’t hit it here. Perhaps we can get Jenny Owen Youngs to do something like she did with Nelly’s “Hot in Herr”.
