New Album Releases For Tuesday 9/2/2008
Giant Sand and Matt Bauer picked a great time to release. For those folk rock lovers, their two albums (proVISIONS, The Island Moved In The Storm) provide a regionally distinct flavor, as Giant Sand swings from the western lands of Arizona while Matt Bauer comes from New York.
Catching some ears this week should be Brighten. The duo from Chico sing about the great state of California and sing their hearts into every indie-rock and beach pop song. The Early Love EP is out, so check them out and perhaps you will hear them on an OC-esque show soon.
The sometimes quick and always enlivened Apollo Sunshine dropped Shall Noise Upon. As with most psychedelic rockers, their web site has an artistic flare that matches their mentality.
