Details for Death Cab’s Latest EP

Submitted by admin on March 26, 2009 – 3:57 pmOne Comment

With their latest EP releasing next week and tour dates already sold out, we thought we would keep the buzz going for one of our favorite groups – Death Cab For Cutie.

The Open Door EP, which is scheduled to hit online stores next Tuesday, marks Death Cab’s first release since Narrow Stairs from last May. Stereogum has been streaming new tracks from this EP every day this week, so if you want to get a feel for the tracks, listen to the clips below and then head for the full versions on their site.

This new EP seems to continue with the group’s style of meandering lyrics keyed with anything from stringy acoutic guitar sets to drum-heavy tempo-driving beats. We will be attending the show on April 7th, so stay tuned for pics and a show review.

Note: All mp3s below are 30-second clips.

Tracklisting:
1. Little Bribes
2. A Diamond And A Tether
3. My Mirror Speaks
4. I Was Once a Loyal Lover
5. Talking Bird (demo)
