With No. 500 behind us, we march on and into another week.  The big names aren’t there this week, but much like many bands we post about, the names are always there waiting to be exposed.

One great example could be The Dudes.  The four guys from Alberta, Canada are releasing Blood, Guts, Bruises, Cuts and while they were virtually unknown to us, the first few listens to their material has impressed.

Among others jumping out to us this week is Eels, who returns with Hombre Lobo this week.  For those who remember the name but can’t think of where they are from, the group appeared in the movie Roadtrip years back.  The video is here.

In anticipation of an album next month off of Domino Records is Franz Ferdinand‘s dub of Blood:Franz Ferdinand.
