Director, The Angel Pier To Play At OXEGEN

By on 07/09/2009 – 2:03 PMNo Comment

A few of our favorite Irish groups, Director and The Angel Pier, will be playing at the OXEGEN ’09 festival in Punchestown, Ireland this coming weekend.

Both groups will be the Saturday night headliners on the IMRO New Sounds Stage.  Check out the event map hereAngel Pier, who have added two new studio recorded tracks to their MySpace page, are preparing to release the Belong/Align the Seas Limited Edition 7″ vinyl on August 7th while  Director, who most recently released their I’ll Wait For Sound album in Ireland and other select locations, are planning on several Dublin-area show dates following OXEGEN.

Considered one of the premier summer festivals, this year’s lineup at OXEGEN also includes: Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon, Bloc Party, The Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Keane, The Gaslight Anthem, Doves, White Lies, Mogwai, TV On The Radio, Glasvegas, m83, The Virgins, Carolina Liar, Crystal Castles, Of Montreal, Passion Pit, The Airborne Toxic Event and many other groups we at MUF would die to see.

Along with over 50 other groups, the festival runs from July 10-12 and has been awarded the Green N Clean Award by The European Festival Association.

Although MUF won’t be able to attend this festival, we would love our readers to send us what they see either via a comment post or an email to [email protected] .  We would love to post your pictures and videos!
