First and most importantly, this week is the culmination of a long anticipation of one of MUF’s favorite bands.  Despite the negative press Athlete has been already receiving for their new album, we can assure you Black Swan (currently only available in the UK) is nothing short of fantastic.  If you were not impressed with Beyond The Neighbourhood, go on and listen to Vehicles & Animals again.  Sulking in the past never did any good.  If you enjoyed songs such as “Hurricane” from Athlete’s 2007 effort, you’ll be sure to enjoy this one.

Blitzen Trapper is out this week with Black River Killer, an extended 7-song EP to follow up to their wildly popular Furr album from 2008 (#13 on our top 30 album list).  We’re sure you’ll enjoy this one too.

Looking to experiment a bit?  Múm is back with Sing Along to Songs You Don’t Know which touches on the experimental electronic side of music this week.  Some well knowns such as Ingrid Michaelson (Everybody) and Imogen Heap (Ellipse) are out this week as well.  Although if we were forced to pick, we would prefer the latter, however both are great female vocalists.

Also touching on female singers, Sally Shapiro is out this week with My Guilty Pleasure.  Enjoy this week’s music!
