The Twilight Sad To Release ‘Forget The Night Ahead’ In October

Submitted by Brendan on August 13, 2009 – 12:58 pmNo Comment

The Twilight Sad Band

Following up their successful 2007 album Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters, The Twilight Sad are set to release their second full-length album.  Basking in their Scottish accents and blazing guitars, their second album is set to release on October 5th (according to label).

From a recent interview with Drowned In Sound, Twilight Sad admit:

We actually recorded fifteen songs in total and at the end we were like, “Shit, what are we gonna leave off the record?” I mean, no album should have that many songs on it but making that final call was a tough, tough decision. One thing we didn’t want ‘Forget The Night Ahead’ to be was just a collection of songs; we think that this record actually flows more than the first one, and I think people will be surprised that there are more conventional “songs” here than we’ve previously written.

We Were Promised Jetpacks, Frightened Rabbit and Brakes wil be touring with The Twilight Sad.  Not only will TTS put out a great show, but these other bands have also been on our radar as a few bands to keep our eyes on as well.  Tis’ high times for Twilight Sad!

Below is one of their songs from their forthcoming album, which the band released to the public as well as their fall tour dates.
