Does this time of year spook you? Have you already had your fill of terrifying movies? Well if you haven’t get on it… Halloween comes once a year and as dumb as it may seem to dress up like a lunatic, you only get wear non-matching clothes but once a year.

Aside from the costumes, part of Halloween is getting a sugar buzz in. Afterall, National Chocolate Day just passed us, but may still be going strong for a few of you folks. As we have done since we started this site, here is our yearly Haloween-themed list for your pleasure. May your Halloween be full of lots of good times and friends – not the other terrible things we are constantly imbibed with.

Our list includes a few groups we would haven’t had time to metnion this year, particularly The Calm Blue Sea, who came out with a fantastic double album of pure intrumental rock earlier this year.  Also below is Geographer, who has been on the cusp of some great things lately.  We’ve filled the gaps with some of our other favorites such as Blitzen Trapper, whose Black River Killer EP came out earlier this year along with White Lies who always seem to fill that void for UK rock.  Also, new ones from Royal Bangs (featured as a SOTW this month), Hurricane Bells’ latest single from the New Moon Soundtrack, a new one from Nine Black Alps, and of course a song from the now defunct Rakes.
