Broadcast Band

Is this finally a week we can lay low and catch up on all of the new music this Fall? Unfortunately, no…

First off this week is Broadcast, a group from Birmingham, England whose electronic music is somewhat shadowed after Stereolab. Their album teamed up with The Focus GroupBroadcast & The Focus Group Investigate is their fourth studio album to date since their first EP release back in 1996.

Also this week is the Mother Hips who we had mentioned last year when they teamed up with The Bees for a split EP. Although we haven’t heard much from them, we liked what we were able to listen to. The San Fran band is out with Pacific Dust this week.

Amidst some well-known names, you will find new releases from Jack Johnson and R.E.M. both with a live album out this week. U2 is back with a reissue of their fourth album released in 1984, Unforgettable Fire and Wolfmother is back with Cosmic Egg.

You might also want to check out Tegan & Sara, Train’s latest album or Hudson Mohawke. Enjoy this week’s releases!
