New Album Releases For Tuesday 10/6/2009
If you haven’t found a suitable album over the past month, the cold weather of October and this week’s list could provide some reasons to stay inside and catch up on your music collection.
First off, The Cinematics drop Love and Terror, which is the followup to the tremendous A Strange Education. It doesn’t hurt that we heard them play with MuteMath several years back, but the real pull is lead Scotsman Scott Rinning behind the mic.
Hush Arbors sheds some folk rock light onto the scene with Yankee Reality while Built To Spill (There is No Enemy) and Headlights (Wildlife) both provide unimposing, yet well struck rock tracks.
A group we will be catching with Sea Wolf later on this month is Port O’Brien. The San Fran-based group will continue touring North America until early November before heading to Europe for another month of shows.
Among other groups we recommend to check out this week include: A Place To Bury Strangers, Gossip, No Age, Sufjan Stevens and DJ Tiesto. Enjoy!
