The Bravery Returns With Stir The Blood
When fans of The Bravery reference the group, the main topic of conversation tends to fall with a phenomenal live show. To no surprise, songs such as “Swollen Summer”, “Honest Mistake” and “Tyrant” are not songs to relax and fold your arms to, rather they are turbulent expressions trembling with energy. Now the five stars from New York have another answer to engage their audience – Stir the Blood.
This album continues their almost violent and self-chastising discography, which should once again channel into singles being overplayed. As “I Have Seen the Future” states, they are going to claim “a brave new world”. Other songs act on this more than tell this lofty goal, starting with “Slow Poison”, heading to “Hatefuck”, “The Spectator” and to just about every song on the 11-track album.
“The Spectator” stands out the most as MGMT and Crystal Castles-type electronics resonate, while “Slow Poison” and “Red Hands and White Knuckles” exhibit some of The Bravery’s more garrishly-laid lyrics.
Stir the Blood follows, The Sun and the Moon (2008) and their debut self-titled album (2005). For more on The Bravery, head to their web site or check them out on iTunes.

Very British and so good !
[...] have already mentioned The Bravery once this week, so outside of mentioning their Stir the Blood album again, let’s [...]
To my fans, I apologize for joining such a terrible band. As you can hear, my legendary talents have receded to utter embarassment.
I thought that if I started a rift with another horrifically average current band which merely serves as a reminder of much better bands from the past, I could fool some folks for a bit.
However, that band has lyrics like “are we human, or are we dancer?”, and I can’t seem to top such banality. And, as you can see, I try really hard at banality, tho I can’t for the life of me, figure out what “are we human, or are we dancer” means.
Aye, I quit music! My apologies to Siouxsie for selling out and becoming such rubbish.
Robert Smith is not a member of the Bravery. So why does every goddamn website I go to, to read their reviews, have some asshole writing a review as Robert Smith?
