New Album Releases For Tuesday 2/22/2011
This week’s star breaks away from our mainstream bands, since it’s not a band, but a man. Through the mind of Ben Chasny comes Six Organs of Admittance and the release of Asleep on the Floodplain. As our headliner for the week, it’s sneaky experimental folk tunes come together when Chasny collides his folk groove with a psychedelic clatter.
Along with Adele‘s vocal-rich album 21, we’re also looking at G. Love in a solo role as well with Fixin’ To Die.
Our group to focus in on this week comes from Seattle off of Jagjaguwar Records by the name Cave Singers. Hard-fought singing assists beautifully with the clean rock of this group, which should start to come to the notice of many more as No Witch marks their third full-length release.
