New Music Releases For Tuesday 3/29/2011
Lots going on this week, so let’s get into it. Since we already mentioned Radiohead’s album over a month ago and we previously mentioned Generationals Actor-Castor as well (video here), our main focus this week is on Peter Bjorn & John’s latest album Gimme Some. Their song “Second Chance” below is now on everyone’s playlists, and it should be. It looks like they’ve sucured themselves a track that will take over “Young Folks”.
More this week from The Pains of Being Pure At Heart (take deep breath then continue sentence). Whew. The indie pop group from NYC are back with their second album, Belong, under Slumberland Records. The much talked about Broken Bells also drop their Meyrin Fields EP.
Also this week is Hunx And His Punx. They’ve been featured on a variety of music blogs and are surely on the rise. Lastly is Bibio, an artist we just can’t seem to escape but yet can’t put a finger what genre British producer Stephen Wilkinson belongs in. His album, Mind Bokeh, sounds fantastic already so give it a spin.
