Earth Day 2011 Mix\Remix Playlist
Our list has nothing and everything to do with Earth Day, so as humans of Earth, check out what other humans have been up to.
Starting with KIDCITY, the duo from outside Toronto composed their track “Blood Face” in an electronic driven dizzy that’s quite catchy. They’ve got an EP out May 31.
Next, from Bath, UK are Flags. This newly-formed group will be releasing their single “Running” on Monday, April 25. Also from England and on Monday, The Wombats have This Modern Glitch coming out. The remixed version of Turnbill Green’s “Girl Material” is playlist worthy, so pick it up.
From Australia, Lion & the Lotus runs in with a professionally produced, electro-pop sound. Check out their Bandcamp page for more.
For groups inside the US, we’re pleased to have a track from Pomegranates back up. Their track “50′s” came off the Cincinnati band’s 2010 album One of Us. New York’s The Hundred in the Hands don’t have anything ‘new’ out at the moment, but their self-titled album from last year has us checking in on them daily and the remix below does them justice. Lastly, the non-hardcore group called Poison Control Center, from somewhere in the US, just released the track “Torpedoes for Tuesday,…” and is prepping for a June 7 release of Stranger Ballet through Afternoon Records.
