Handful of Remixes – April 2011
Well we didn’t get to it until the 11th hour, but that’s alright because who doesn’t love themselves a handful of remixes? The below handful of remixes has all of the artists you know and love and some you might just have to learn to love.
First off is Geographer‘s “Kites” remix which we really haven’t seen up until now. We’ve even got a remix of Moby‘s “Pale Horses” by the well-accepted Apparat. Moby has been quite active recently and is quite the avid tweeter. Check him out on Twitter @thelittleidiot.
We honestly don’t know how Ra Ra Riot keep popping up in our mixes, but we keep receiving remixes of them so why not keep the tradition going and add this gem by The Kids Are Radioactive.
Cut Copy‘s “Need You Now” shows up below as it was touched up by “The Wizard” Gavin Russom, who not only creates music but makes the synthesizers that truly create it.
One of the top remix duos out there, Designer Drugs, warped Klaxons’ song “Echoes” into something club ready. These tracks all have something different to offer as remixes don’t mean adding a slamming techno bass background, but it could just mean a slowing down and reinvention of an already good thing.
