New Music Releases For Tuesday 4/19/2011

An interesting week in music, as the beats seem to take over the raw guitar we always lean towards. However, with the prolific Del the Funky Homosapien at hand, we’re open to some good beats and quick-witted lyrics with his latest album Golden Era. Del is this week’s double-threat as he releases his album Golden Era while the group he helped form back in the early 2000s, Gorillaz, are out with The Fall.

Also this week are Head & the Heart with their self-titled album. These guys have all of the elements we yearn for in a band – smoky vocals, violin, piano and guitar. You can also check out Fuel For Friend’s first live recording of this band right here.

Lastly, the always churning I’m From Barcelona are out this week with Forever Today. We honestly don’t know what to expect out of this one, but we’re always taken for a ride. Enjoy this week’s new releases!
