New Music Releases For Tuesday 4/5/2011
Duos lead the way for April. The group above, The Kills, paces the pack with Blood Pressures. This London-based duo of Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart possess the head-swiveling funk rock where static only ripens the final product. You won’t find many groups like this at all.
The space-creating Ravonettes of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo return with Raven in the Grave while the more pop-friendly Submarines, John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard, are back on the scene after their eye-opening Honeysuckle Weeks album.
Perhaps the Milwaukee boys from Maritime will lighten your day. We last heard them when they released Heresy & the Hotel Choir and this new album, Human Hearts, should be a welcomed addition to their collection.
We highly recommend checking out Scattered Trees‘ Sympathy. While at it, check out their video for “Love and Leave” abound with Storm Troopers living their lives. Awesome!
