New Music Releases For Tuesday 5/31/11
While this week’s list is short, it’s got great bands in it. Death Cab for Cutie and My Morning Jacket (above) have our attention, yet several indie groups below are already in our rotation .
My Morning Jacket releases Circuital off of ATO Records, which adds to the groups’ already lengthy album list that began back in 1999 with The Tennessee Fire.
Seattle’s Death Cab for Cutie also boast a long album list, although fans have been quite eager for more since Narrow Stairs in 2008. Expect Codes & Keys to satisfy album buyers, who are eying up the Summer tour dates.
Several other artists that have burgeoning talent include: Hidden Pictures (Synchronized Sleeping), The Vaccines (What Did You Expect From the Vaccines) and Seapony (Go With Me). The Vaccines recently appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and will be touring with Artic Monkeys. Seapony’s album has graced our players recently with a low-fi approach led by the sweet vocals of Jen Weidl. Make sure to check them out on Bandcamp.
