Weekend Burn: The National – Exile Vilify

By on 07/09/2011 – 10:01 AMNo Comment

The National has easily grown as one of our favorites over the last few years.  Its been quite a trip going through their back catalogue and discovering how many other fantastic tracks are out there.  The National’s new track “Exile Vilify” was released as part of the video game soundtrack to Portal 2 (okay, its three months old at this point).  Given the album art above, it’s also apparent that The National took great pride in this one.  Oddly enough, the tone of the song is much different than what I had expected, as The National usually takes a darker tone.  However, this track is uplifting instead as Matt Berninger throws fans of The National for a loop as this unexpected track is surely one to keep.  Enjoy your weekend!
