First off, Beirut returns with Rip Tide. We can’t say enough good things about this full-circle, instrumentally sound group (shown above). The entire album might not strike every heartstring, yet that’s here nor there.
The other really top-notch musicians from this week come from Am & Shawn Lee. The duo infuses a breakbeat rhythm with an M83 spaciness. Expect Celestial Electric to be loaded with radio and remix-worthy material.
