Song of the Week: Hands – Warm Night Home
This track from Hands might appear to be something that comes from an already large labeled group – the soft keyboard and synth flow in a dream-like trance, vocals that ring with a comforting familiarity and a timely, memorable emotional progression. For Hands, “Warm Night Home” exhibits a graceful display of group talent from guitars to vocals and everything else the speakers pump forth.
“Warm Night Home” arrived last October from the Los Angeles group in single format, and again in April in the Massive Content EP off of Small Plates Records. The foursome consists of Geoffrey Halliday, Ryan Sweeney, Sean Hess and Alex Staniloff and have previously played with the likes of Foster the People and Deerhoof., yet they don’t currently have any tour dates planned For more on the group, head to their website, Facebook and Twitter.
Massive Context can be streamed on Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
