Song of the Week: Weird Dreams – House of Secrets
The uber-chill track from London’s Weird Dreams joins together a dreamscape plethora of guitar chords being plucked and back-wood echoes. In short, add “House of Secrets” to your lazy Sunday playlist.
For this new group, the formula seems simple enough as layered vocals and a 60s laid-back attitude provide the foundation, which they used in their April release of Choreography. In a stretch, the backdrop reminisces of NES’ TMNT game as you play the warehouse board. ”House of Secrets” released as part of a split single with Girls Names.
Weird Dreams will be playing the MIDI Festival in France at the end of the month before Beacons Festival in Yorkshire (Aug. 18) and Contronatura Festival in Italy (Sept. 8). For more on the group, check them out on Facebook.
