Video: Darwin Deez – Free (The Editorial Me)

Justin

Darwin Deez just posted their video for “Free (The Editorial Me), which runs in loops like Groundhog Day and paints Darwin as the clerk in a convenience store. This sadly tragic video loops the same box stacking and coffee spilling scene over and over before the curly-haired Darwin breaks from conformity for a bit.

Perhaps if this video looped for a bit longer, Darwin would create a rift in the space-time continuum, but that’s just looking too deep. What the looping really does for this song is drive through the lyrics better as the fight against conformity (and the humdrum life) comes to light.  Check out the video page for the lyrics.

“Free (The Editorial Me)” arrives as a single off of the upcoming album Songs for Imaginative People (Feb. 2012). For more on Darwin Deez, check out the website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
