Most agree that 2012 has been one of the best years over the past decade, full of old and new artists, obscure ones and… well more obscure ones.

If you’ve followed our fellow MUF writers, you’ll more than likely have a taste for what they enjoy, but if you don’t already, here are our writer’s picks for their top 10 albums of 2012.  From all of their contributions to MUF this year, whether it be interviews, show reviews or even a weekly run-down of what’s really buzzing… much work went into narrowing down these picks.  So much so that a few couldn’t decide which ones to include and which ones to toss.  Tis’ a maddening process.  The lists below will be accompanied by each person’s top 10 songs of 2012 within the following days.

We will release our top albums as well as our top 100 songs of 2012 next week so stay tuned.

@steviegb I can't speak for our writers, but John Cale made our top 100 songs, which we'll have up next week!  It really is tough to narrow it down to just 10 - keep an eye out for our top 30.  Cheers!
