Song of the Week: Shugo Tokumaru – Katachi

Japan’s Shugo Tokumaru arrived in the US back in 2004 with his self-made, many-instrumentalist abilities. Since his debut, the Polyvinyl artist has continued to refine and add on to his appeasing sound. After hearing “Katachi” on Soundcloud, and despite not understanding a word, it meant something more than just words can say.

Shugo Tokumaru’s all in when it comes to his music. Since his recorded sound always carries 20+ instruments, which he plays, him touring meant brining on four outside musicians to help capture some of what he envisioned.
