Weekly Download 3/6/13 (Death Rattle, Hey Champ and more)

Weekly Download 3/6/13 (Death Rattle, Hey Champ and more) Death Rattle

Perhaps everyone is ramping up for SXSW and/or Spring tours as the quality of free downloads we received in our inbox this week was astounding.  Loads of solo artists and duos this week made this cut.

We featured Chicago’s Hey Champ back on January 9 when they gave away “Cliche”.  Now the pair is back (as predicted in our article) with another gem, “Comet”.  Make sure to follow them on Twitter.

Death Rattle, the London pair of Chris and Helen Hamilton, press some deep, dirty electronic rock with their track “The Blows”.  They released the HE&I EP at the end of 2012 and have a new EP due out in April.  Stream all of their tracks right from the Death Rattle website.

Stellar female musicians Marie Avery from Canada and Hanna Turi from Sweden both offer free tracks, with Avery sharing a track off of her EP The Fire and Turi sharing “You Collect” from her upcoming album Tracks in the Water.

Another solo artist in the mix this week is King of the Opera, the project of Italy’s Alberto Mariotti.  ”The Floating Song” came off of Nothing Outstanding, which released last November.

If you are an artist who wants your track hear on our Weekly Download, email us here or shoot us a message on Facebook.
